KAMC Supports and Protects the Interests of the Kentucky Unattended Retail and Coffee Service Industry

The "Past Presidents” Scholarship Program is in honor and memory of the dedicated operator and supplier members who have given their time and effort as President of the Kentucky Automatic Merchandising Council. During 2024 we sadly lost two of our Past Presidents, Tim Jordan and Gary Elliott. “The Past Presidents” Scholarship program has been established by the KAMC board to advance educational opportunities for college age students of KAMC members.
During the 2025 Annual Meeting it was announced that the KAMC is awarding $10,000 in scholarship funds for this year! We are proud of the young men and women who were selected as award winners for 2025!

The KAMC Scholarship Committee announced that the applications from the four students were all so outstanding, that no ranking was done and all four shared equally in the scholarship award! The application essay question was how did COVID-19 change your life. Excerpts from the applications:
“While COVID-19 disrupted my college experience in a big way, it also pushed me to grow. It taught me how to adapt, stay focused on long-term goals, and be resourceful even when everything felt uncertain.”
“As Mr. Barsotti (past KAMC President) put it, the good life is a simple life. I want to live similarly helping other grow and live life to the fullest. As I always say, no matter how good or bad the day was; it is another day in paradise, even after a brutal graduate course exam.”
“This experience taught me that even in the hardest times, something positive can come out of struggle. I discovered that my family could be both my support system and my team. We had to communicate better, make sacrifices, and trust each other more than ever before.”
“Upon returning back to a college campus, I realized how essential human interaction and continuous learning are. I began to love school again and I eventually found my way to a major that I was incredibly passionate about. This love and passion carried through to the end of my undergraduate degree.”
The KAMC wishes all four a rewarding continuation of their education and looks forward to seeing their contribution to society, and/or maybe a future in the unattended retail industry!
The KAMC will post an announcement regarding our 2026 Past Presidents Scholarship during the first quarter of 2026.
